Who doesn’t love a good sandwich? I’ve always been kind of fascinated by the fact that so many diverse cultures have come up with some form of the humble sandwich.

These are my personal favorites, in order.

  1. Muffuletta - my first and the best can be found at the Central Grocery and Deli – Home of the Original Muffuletta in New Orleans
  2. Reuben - I was a vegetarian for a couple years in college, a liquor store rueben broke me
  3. Bánh mì - Vietnamese goodness on a French bagette
  4. Pork Tenderloin - must be bigger than the bun
  5. BLT - mmm, bacon
  6. Cuban - such a great flavor combo
  7. Grilled cheese - a classic, I loved the one from Texas Tom’s: American cheese on Texas toast, lots of butter
  8. PB&J - a childhood favorite that still hits the spot
